It's beginning to look a lot like

The holidays! I am so sorry for my lack of blogging. I did just write a very long post and then it deleted before I could publish it which I am trying to not see as a bad sign! I would love to say that my absence is because of a busy new job or a fabulous new project but no. I was in a rut where I was not happy with how things were going but I've gotten past it for the most part. Time to move on! What a great time too this is my favorite time of the year with out a doubt. Ill get to my love of Christmas later but first some thanksgiving love.

Family friends food laughter. That was the theme for my weekend. Aunt Diane hosted this year so I brought a centerpiece and pie. Also I had the worst baking disaster to date. I burned bread. I'm still getting over that one. Also I made my first bridal bouquet for my beautiful cousin Emily who got married earlier this month and didn't have a bouquet. Well I think every bride deserves her own! I got to spend lots of time with my amazing parents and sister as well as her boyfriend and lots of other family. Also I was able to catch up with my oldest friend Carlie. We have been friends since our very first valet class! Still my best friend we went to the Nutcracker, it's been 5 years since I was in it and what a trip down memory lane. Being back in the theater where I grew up was a very grounding experience. I gained some new perspective on my life these days(more on this later)

Fall flowers

It's been a while since I posted anything about flowers! Well this is to make up for that, I've been busy at work making many fall arrangements and I have been having so much fun! I learned a few new techniques and got to try them out today while it rained all afternoon. It was a wonderful day!

It's been a fun couple of week. I worked a beautiful wedding which was the biggest one I have been a part of. I helped out with a photo shoot which I was also a models for (by accident). And spent a wonderful few days with my family for my birthday! Hope you enjoy this weeks pictures! Onto a new week!

Apartment in Progress...

Well the day has come, the first pictures of my apartment are here! There are things that I still need and some  pictures to hang, and projects to complete but I am so in love with it. I love making this small place my very own, I think it will always be a work in progress and it will be fun to see how the style progresses as I continue to work. Well enjoy and I'd love any and all suggestions! Also I apologize for the pictures that are crooked I have no idea how I did that!

Things I need still:

A light fixture over the bistro table (either sparkly or rustic)

Wall art for the bedroom its so bare I hadn't realized until now! 

A new kitchen rug

Flowers on Sunday

Well Friday was a busy day and Saturday was even worse! So my usual post is a little late but here it is! Beautiful colors this week and flowers too! Calla lilies, baby roses, iris both blue and white, sunflowers and the most beautiful yellow and orange lilies. It was so fun working with the bright summer colors and the venue was gorgeous. Hope theses brighten your day!

I want to start a weekly posting of all the flowers I deal with each week. This week I got to work with beautiful Dahlia's and tuberose! Also I'm sharing my FAVORITE candle in the entire world. It's called "flower shop" from bath and body works. I only bought one and hope they have it again in the spring I'm stocking up!!! What are some of your favorite flowers?

Projects and Perks

I am so lucky to work at a place that allows me to create daily. I'm working on the fall display windows for work and it's making me think maybe a future career path? Well I have a lot of practice until I reach that stage but I'm having fun along the way! Then after I got done "working" I went to Avila for a few hours of relaxing and reading on a practically empty beach!
